About

At HERO – Health Exposure Rights Outreach, we help current and former Department of Energy workers navigate the process of obtaining the federal benefits they deserve. These benefits can include medical coverage and financial compensation for illnesses caused by toxic exposures while on the job—often under conditions they were never told were dangerous.

But HERO is more than just a name. It's our commitment.

We believe in standing up for those who unknowingly sacrificed their health in service to their country—individuals who showed up to work each day, often unaware of the long-term risks they were facing. Many of them gave years—if not decades—of their lives to their work. Some have lost even more.

No amount of money can replace what has been taken from them. But securing the compensation and care they are owed is the very least that can be done—and that’s where we come in.

The claims process is often confusing, frustrating, and filled with red tape. We understand how difficult it can be to pursue a claim successfully, especially when you're already dealing with serious health issues. Our role as your Authorized Representative is to help lift that burden—guiding you every step of the way and advocating for the outcome you deserve.

At HERO, this is personal. And it’s purposeful. Because no one should have to fight alone for the benefits they earned.

Our Story

HERO – Health Exposure Rights Outreach was founded with a simple but powerful mission: to help those who’ve sacrificed for their country access the benefits and care they rightfully deserve.

Our founder is a veteran of the United States military, someone who understands what it means to serve—and what it means to carry the long-term impact of that service. Through personal experiences and connections with workers affected by toxic exposure, he became increasingly aware of the devastating health consequences faced by many Department of Energy workers. He also saw firsthand how difficult it can be for these individuals to navigate the claims process, especially while dealing with serious illness.

Out of that frustration and empathy, HERO was born.

This is more than a business—it’s a calling. It’s about advocacy, integrity, and standing in the gap for those who were never given the full truth about the risks they faced on the job. We believe no one should have to fight alone for the medical care and compensation they’re owed. And while we can’t undo the damage that’s been done, we can help make the road forward a little more secure.

Our story is one of service—past, present, and future.

Families

Our Vision

To ensure every individual we serve receives the care, coverage, and peace of mind they deserve—so they can focus on their health, their loved ones, and their future, knowing we’re here to handle the rest.

We envision a world where the burden of navigating complex claims is lifted, where former and current energy workers don’t have to fight alone, and where families feel supported through every step. Our goal is to make sure those impacted by toxic exposure can move forward with confidence—knowing their health needs are being addressed, their rights are being protected, and their story is being honored.
